Our
business growth means opportunity for talented team players.
Although our team has grown largely by referral through tourism
industry contacts, we are always interested in hearing from hard-working
and fun-loving individuals who have a vision for melding their personal
and professional goals with our company’s objectives. Although
education and experience are assets, Aquila also hires for attitude
and drive – so be creative!
Aquila’s growth also means that we often require new team
members to fill an increasing number of seasonal positions each
year, including
Tour
Guides
Each winter, we assess our need for tour guides for the coming season,
and we are anticipating the need for some additional guides for
the 2008 season. If you are interested in one of these positions,
please send a letter to Gail
indicating why you would like to be a tour guide and what skills
you have that lend themselves to this position. This is casual employment,
guiding cruise ship guests on a variety of motorcoach and walking
tours in and around Saint John. Ideal for retired professionals,
this position requires a flexible schedule from May to October,
excellent communication skills, and a love of people. And while
not necessary, fluency in languages other than English is always
an asset!
Pier-Side
Team Members
With our growing cruise business, Aquila is seeking individuals
to work with our pier-side team on cruise ship days. Roles pier-side
can vary, and include managing transportation, dispatching tours,
communicating with guides, providing information to guests, and
handling pier-side tour sales. These positions are part-time, working
cruise ship days from May to October. If you are interested in one
of these positions, please contact Gail.
Summer
Employment
Aquila often hires summer students on a full-time basis, and has
supported the University of New Brunswick Saint John (UNBSJ) Tourism
Co-op program. The job description for this position varies from
year to year; however, it usually includes tour guiding and/or office
support, as well as availability for evenings and weekends. Students
residing in and continuing studies in the Saint John area are given
preference, as need may arise before and after the summer months.
Students with solid bilingual skills are given preference. Information
on Summer Employment positions are posted here in March of each
year.
